Sounds like you've got some positive boundaries in place--good for you! I do think it's extremely cool that you're still friends with Alaska's mother. But yeah, I can see why it's both logistically difficult, and just not a good idea for you personally, to extend yourself that way again.

Have fun with the fic writing though! Honestly, the making of art has been my way of engaging with fandom most of the time. Sometimes with fic, but sometimes it's drawing, or meta analysis, or (more recently) learning how to play various songs on my guitar. <3
