You definitely gave it a really good try. Not everyone would make such an effort, and it's a real credit to you that you even attempted this.

The only thing I can think of...would it be possible to take a taxi or car service from your house to the train station? Then your car would be safe at your house, and the taxi fare might be less than the cost of parking overnight (of course I'm thinking NYC parking prices here).
