Award at work

I mentioned on Facebook that I won a People Award this week at work. It's an award that your own peers nominate you for, which makes it extra special. I learned something even better. When one of the department leaders came over to congratulate me, she told me about the big meeting where leadership discusses which of the almost 40 nominees to select (they only pick about 12 of the nominees). She says when my name came up, there was no debate whatsover and they were all just like, 'Yes, of course'.

That really made my day.

Scrabble on Facebook

I’m playing Scrabble on Facebook with an opponent who is using words such as: pfui, slojd, nizam, kina, waur, and oxo. These are not typos.

I mean, is he sitting there with a Scrabble dictionary in his hand?? He should be required to use these words in a sentence.

My soreness has nothing to do with the fact that I am losing by over 150 points.
