Just wanted to let you know I just checked out the second Sevenwaters book from the library--excited!
Incidentally, I think you'd really like Robin McKinley as a novelist. She does a lot of retellings of fairy and folk tales, and from what I remember of Daughter of the Forest, she has a similar tone and descriptive technique. Or maybe I'm imagining that. I just like both authores quite a lot. Regardless, I recommend Spindle's End, her take on Sleeping Beauty.
