I am enjoying this way too much. It’s the 80’s Cartoon Intro Overload, Part 1! There are parts 2-6, though they might not be as awesome as the first one. What great memories!

One other theme song that I love. There was a show called Card Captors that was on right around the time that X-men: Evolution was on. I never saw an episode of Card Captors but I adored the theme song. I’d sing it in the shower. Here’s a link if you want to hear it too. I can't tell you if the show itself was any good or not though.

(I was going to do a post on Jerry Falwell's passing. But this is much more fun!)

I found CardCaptor Sakura (the Japanese version of Card Captors) and I LOVE it. It's so adorable. And the theme songs are super catchy. But since I watched those first (only the first 8 episodes so far) I tend to cringe at the American version (much like Sailor Moon).

Oh, Card Captors. I hear that name and my immediate thought is that it's considered one of the worst edit dubs, right up there with Sailor Moon. But I rather love the Card Captor Sakura manga, so I need to get my hands on the subtitled anime. :p

That was frakkin' great! I loved the original Transformers. Captain Planet! I so wanted to be a Planeteer. Dungeons and Dragons! M.A.S.K! I haven't watched part 2 yet but I will soon. Now I am going to be singing Transformers for days, complete with the kee-koo-kee-koo-kee transforming noise.

I loved Transformers too! That first theme song of theirs...awesome.

Those links also had some theme songs that I'd never heard during the 80's. I never heard Spiral Zone, Visionaries, or Pole Position - but I like the theme songs a lot!

I liked MASK a lot in the 80's. Though the little kid and the robot annoyed me.

I don't remember Spiral Zone or Visionaries but I do remember Pole Position. The neighbor boy and I used the new refrigerator box as cars to play Pole Position for an entire summer.

Everyone always goes wrong with the little kid.

Watched part II. Gummi Bears. The best cartoon based on a candy ever.
