I only just started reading it 5 days ago. I've just got the last chapter to go now. It is a really intense book but I like it a lot. What did u think?
I think that it's one of my favorite book series in the world... I love Katniss a lot, I think she's such a strong character. I really really love Peeta, too. I really underestimated him at first (he's only the baker's son, I kept thinking), but he kept surprising me. He has a lot of tricks up his sleeve. And I love the narration in the book and the interactions between the characters. And yes, INTENSE, I kept bursting into tears.
Yeah pretty much worried it'll be botched. I think there will be certain scenes that'll have an impact no matter what is done, like Rue's Death. But after seeing some YA books turn movies like "Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief" ruined and or just not all it should be... i'm prepped for disappointment. hope to be pleasantly surprised.... if i see it.
Oh, I loved The Hunger Games. My pre-internship class was studying it in language arts and got me hooked! I received a copy of Catching Fire as a parting gift from them.
Try "Divergent" by Veronica Roth; it's similar, with a strong female lead and the dystopian theme. I just finished that one yesterday. It wasn't as good as Hunger Games, but it was still a worthwhile read.
