A different 3 things
There are 3 things I really want to happen before the end of the year.
1. Trump removed from office (or conceding the election)
2. Me to keep my job
3. Yes it sounds trivial, but the last season of the show I'm obsessed with starts airing today, and I want a happy ending for my favorite characters.
Four years ago, I was in a similar situation. I wanted 3 things.
1. A Democrat to replace Obama
2. Me to keep my job
3. The drag queen who I was very fannish over to win All Stars
I got 2 of the 3. I wonder what I'll get this time. Will I get 0, 1, 2 or 3?
The most important one is #1.

Although my No. 2 would be "find different job."

Last time around, I got numbers 2 and 3, but now I wish I could've traded them for #1 instead. But of course we got little to no say in this.
I do hope you land a great job!!

Good luck to us both!

Has your company given any indication about if they expect there to be layoffs or "restructuring"? Our company's income is down 35% in one area and 50% in another, but due to the decent reserves they had, they expect the changes they've made to cover the difference (in addition to the other changes they made, they completely eliminated the training budget for the year). Bruce's company announced they are outsourcing his entire (600 person) division to IBM, and IBM will hire on about half to keep things rolling. Some people were marked "essential" which means they are guaranteed to be hired on by IBM (unless they choose not to) and the rest are marked "core" which means they have to apply to try to get hired by IBM. They're only eligible for the meager severance package they're offering if they attempt to get hired by IBM and get rejected. Bruce is considered core.

They keep saying they have no plans to do layoffs. But if the recession gets really bad, who knows? I'm very glad your company prepared!! I'm sorry about Bruce though. I hope IBM will hire him. Really sucks that they put those strings on the severance package.
