- I got Volunteer of the Year at the Democratic Party of Oak Park! It was presented to me at the monthly meeting. And it was a nice Saturday. Hit the farmer's market before the meeting to get fresh tomatoes. Afterwards Doris and I went to Publician Bread to celebrate and try their sandwich which was recommended. It was good.
- Enjoying a standard day of texting back and forth with my mom and my sis. And especially when mom questions the amount of texting with "Don't you people have jobs?" LOL
- Well we survived 2 nights in a row of the tornado sirens going off
- Gorgeous weather on Thursday in which I was able to walk and do a lot of errands on foot
- Booked our flights to see (drag queen) Alaska in NY in October. Was able to use points to foot half the bill!
- Loving The Boyfriend on Netflix. It is a Japanese gay dating show. It is unlike anything else. And the contestants are kind and respectful. Will be sad when it ends (in 2 weeks I think)
- Season 2 of The Ark is firing on all cylanders!
- And we got a brief update on The Old Guard II. (The update? It will be released "soon")
- On the Discord, twice someone made threads to discuss my new fic!! And I am still loving writing it! 24,500 words now. It's so funny to think that at first I wasn't sure if I should write it and maybe didn't feel a ton of passion for it. Now I look forward to writing each day!
- Had an amazing Sachin experience. Long story short. A celeb can do this thing with Streamily where fans buy photos for him to sign, and he signs them during an IG live. So I signed on and bought a photo. Well, the day arrives and Sachin messages me (and the others) to say he thought a Livestream wasn't personal enough and instead arranged Zooms one-on-one with each of us!! He was great! There was a hilarious moment regarding a deleted scene that I won't write out here. He did say he got funding to film a proof of concept for a show or movie he and his friends are trying to make. He'd play the uncle of the lead.
