I don't generally wear makeup but I do use mascara and eyeshadow sometimes, and I've had that issue. Eyeshadow just seems to evaporate. As sweet_virago mentioned, theatrical makeup stands up to more wear and tears and lasts longer. Right now I have MAC products and they tend to last really well.
