So, when you’re posting a fic on LJ, and you want to announce that it’s up in several different LJ communities, is it better to do which:
1. Post the fic in your own LJ, and then post a link (a fake cut tag) in the other communities to your journal where the fic is
2. Or, is it better to just post the fic in the actual different communities themselves (behind a cut tag, of course)
Or does it like not really matter and do I need to stop obsessing over details?
I guess the upside of option 1 is that all of the feedback you get is in one place. Is that why people do it?
Chapter 2 of my story Under Their Skin will be ready soon. I'm a tad nervous since it does deal with some sensitive issues. My X-men fanfic dealt a lot with sexism and homophobia, my Jem fic also tackled homophobia at times...then I touch on race issues here -- no one can ever accuse me of backing down from the tough subjects, can they? :-)
