New Firefly fic - "Hanging in the Balance" (Chpt 1 of 1 -- yes, it's a one-shot!)

I have a new Firefly fic! It was written as part of a Zoe/Wash fanfic challenge (“The Big Damn Love-a-thon”) on the wifesoup group. I was assigned to write for ninamonkey, and my mission was to include in my story:

1. Some conflict with Zoe-Mal-Wash
2. Glimpses of pre-series Zoe/Wash romance
3. A heist gone terribly wrong

And so I present…
Title: Hanging in the Balance
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Zoe/Wash (duh)
Characters: Wash, Zoe, with brief appearances by most of the rest of the crew
Timeline/Spoilers: Takes place after the movie, though in my AU all of the major characters survived the events of the film.
