Movie meme
Aug. 24th, 2008 09:01 pmNow is as good a time as any to do the movie meme.
What’s the last movie you saw in a theater and what did you think of it?
I haven't been to the theater in a while, and the last movie I saw there was Dark Knight. I don't have much to say that hasn't already been said. Love the intense storyline and action, and Heath Ledger was amazing. I would like to see it a second time.
What’s the next movie you plan to see in a theater and why?
I don't know. I'd kind of like to see Mama Mia but I'm not dying to. A quick look at fandango shows pretty much nothing else that interests me.
What’s the last movie you saw on DVD and what did you think of it?
Mel Gibson's Apocalypto. I would never, ever have picked this film myself...I'm not a Gibson fan, but it was Doris's turn to pick the movie. I was stunned. I loved it. It was intense, it was riveting, and I couldn't take my eyes off it. It did have too much violence for me and its plot relied on a few hard to swallow coincidences, but I loved this tale of a young Mayan tribesman living in pre-Spanish times and trying to survive. The scenery and costumes and all that stuff were great too, and the characters felt real.
What’s the next movie you plan to see on DVD and why?
Next in the queue is After Stonewall, a documentary about the contemporary LGBT movement.
