Comfortable, dressy shoes!
Oct. 9th, 2010 09:17 amI found the holy grail. For ages I've been looking for a pair of shoes that is:
A) Formal enough to wear with a semi-formal gown (or even with a formal gown)
B) Comfortable! I don't do high heels
I've found some shoes that are okay, shoes that I can wear for an hour or two before pain sets in, and shoes that are comfy but not quite dressy enough in my book.
Months ago I found this pair of shoes on Zappos. Last night I finally had an occasion to wear them. They were comfortable! They looked great. I could even dance in them. In fact, I saw 2 other women wearing pairs that looked similar or identical.
I'm sure some fashionistas would say that I should wear high heels with a dress, but I'm not willing to put up with the pain or with the damage to calves, back, ankles, etc.
I'm so glad to have found these shoes and now proven that they are comfortable!
The event yesterday was a lot of fun too, and I hope to post a few pics.
