Rest in Peace, Wangari Maathai

How did I miss hearing about the fact that Wangari Maathai died last month?? I guess it's just not considered front-page news. I admired this woman for years; she has done so much to preserve the environment and advance women's rights. She died at 71 of ovarian cancer. Here's a good obit on her.

The world needs a lot more people like her.
