Being obsessed is not necessarily a good thing

Anytime I get into a new fandom or a new OTP, I get a little crazy for a while. It is such a weird experience for me. Now that I've got into Sharon Needles and Alaska from RuPaul's Drag Race, I have hardly been able to sleep the last 2 nights. I want to spend each free minute surfing the web for more pictures and videos of them, and I want to learn how to make a fanvid. Plus I feel guilty for spending so much time and being preoccupied, though I am getting my work done too!

There are some great tumblr sites on them, and there's dialog with fans on Facebook. I'm not sure if any Drag Race fans are on LJ so it probably doesn't make sense to create a group devoted to them here.

(I promise not to write any real person slash; it does kinda creep me out and I just have no desire to do so!)

For those of you who get fannish, what's it like for you? Do you get a little crazy for a bit?
