More drag queen tomfoolery
Sep. 5th, 2013 08:52 amSo I mentioned that I am flying to Indy next week to see my two favorite drag queens. They actually are going to be in my hometown on September 11 too, but I am not going to see them because: 1) the show is in a venue that doesn’t have seats, and 2) it’s smack dab in the middle of the workweek and that just doesn’t work so well for me.
But I thought that even if I can’t see the show...maybe I can meet them beforehand, just like I did in June when I “happened” to be at a veg restaurant across the street from the bar before the show.
This time they are playing at a different venue, nowhere near the veg restaurant (the one that Sharon says he loves). Also, they are in town with several other queens – and I know that in other cities, the Drag Race queens often go out to eat together before the show. The other queens probably aren’t all vegetarians and may not want to eat at a veg restaurant but there is a veg restaurant less than a mile from the venue of their show, and you never know.
So I am thinking that I will message Sharon on FB (since he often responds to my FB messages) and give him the name and address of this other restaurant. Also, yesterday Sharon made a funny Vine that poked fun at one of the gifts I sent him. (I sent him a bunch of “I love Alaska” nicknacks from my trip to that state, and he bemoaned that there is no state called Sharon, thus no “I love Sharon” stuff). So I think my message to Sharon will be along the lines of, “You’ll be in my hometown of Chicago on the 11th and if you need a place to have dinner, there’s a veg restaurant about a mile from the bar. {Name and address of the restaurant} If I see you there, I’ll give you more “I love Alaska” merchandise crap..."
