3 Things

 
1. I took the day off which was nice. There was a press conference to help an asylum-seeker who might be deported. (She was a victim of human trafficking and she has stage 4 cancer, but ICE wants to deport her). They needed bodies to be at the conference as a show of support, so I went. Mom told me I was on the evening news. (I wish I'd worn make up but i went there with not a shred of anything on my face)

2. I got lucky at the gym this morning. I got there and was distraught to see that the cardio room was closed - today was elliptical day and that's the whole reason i went to the gym! But they have a few cardio machines in the hallway, just one of which is an elliptical. Fortunately it was unused so I was able to do it. 

3. Been messaging with and beta-ing for another FitzSimmons fan and that has been fun

Oh, about #1, I have to admit that I had a major fail right before it it. I got to the press conference early; it was outside of ICE's headquarters and I really needed to pee. So I went in search of a bathroom. There was a cafe that had a bathroom for customers. I had to go pretty bad so I ordered an iced chai thingie. What was I thinking? Plastic straw, plastic cup, and I didn't even remember to ask them for plant-based milk instead of animal! Wtf??? I guess I had to go to the bathroom pretty bad and just wasn't thinking?
