3 Things

 
1. Had a nice string of time off. Tomorrow I "go" back to work (which of course means work from home) after having been off since the 24th. As usual I did spend a couple hours every other day doing work emails.

2. I got an ergonomic keyboard for my non-work computer (which is a Mac - the work computer is a PC so of course I have to have 2 keyboards) and it is helping. But for reasons too boring to explain, I can't get an ergonomic mouse on here and that would help a lot.

3. Fanfic writing in the Spartacus world is going great and again fans are great with kudos and comments. My fic has 135 kudos (which is a lot for me) and about 32 comments when I subtract out my replies. I did post a 2nd fic that centered around a much less popular pairing and its stats are paltry but that's okay; I loved writing it. And I have another fic (featuring the more popular pairing) almost ready too. 

4. And today there was another virtual con! I booked 1:1 sessions with Jarod and Sachin, the actors who played my OTP on The 100. There was a lot of stress getting in (in which Zoom locked me for too many failed login attempts and I had to have their chat bot help me; I was so flustered because I was running out of time; my face was red and I had to urgently go to the bathroom) but both sessions were very nice. Sachin is especially SO friendly and he noticed that my background was different than last time (I was in a different room of my house). Damn - I love that he remembers that! I asked Jarod if he still is in touch with other members of the cast, and he said that he and Sachin and Richard are still like brothers.

It is funny, these virtual cons are a lesson in asserting yourself and thinking fast. Not only did the above difficulties getting in happen that I had to troubleshoot under duress, but during my time with Sachin, the mod messaged me and said I had 1 minute left. I had to speak up and remind her that I'd booked 2 sessions with him, so I had more time. I hated having to do it but I'm glad I did!!

Also, funny note. Sachin asks me what I'm watching on TV nowadays. And I....didn't answer with Spartacus because I didn't want him to feel like I was cheating on him with my new OTP there, LOL!!!! (I answered with Black Sails. Another actor from The 100 was in that, so I just kinda used that as a segue).
