Gonna toss out some gratitude, and end with 1 sad thing. (And again, apologies if you follow me on Twitter as you get repeats now. Which is funny, it's not like my content is real fascinating in the first place and now you get it twice....)

- My friend Chris came over and helped me rearrange the master bedroom, and install the electric fireplace that Doris bought me for Christmas. Ahhh! I love it! Sadly Chris never lets me thank him. He just shrugs and says when COVID is over we can all go out to dinner.

- I been sleeping on the show "Pose" and finally started watching it. The music! The 80's! What it was like to be queer in the 80's! It's so good. Gonna go put on "Ain't Nobody" by Chaka Khan now...

- One of the starts from The Outpost did a Cameo call. It went really nicely. The way it works is: he tells his 'fan club' on Cameo the date and time of the call. If you want, you buy a ticket. You open the app at the appointed time. I followed those steps. Got a message saying I was next and then - boom! - I'm on a call with Jake Stormoen! The 3 minutes went by super fast but he was sooo nice. Loved it. He even tweeted something nice to me afterwards.

- And hey along those notes, the above actor got my favorite actor from The Outpost (Reece Ritchie) to use Twitch and to 'livestream' (is that the term?) him playing chess. I loved it. Reece was so nice.

- And I am coordinating a fic exchange for my favorite ship in Spartacus. They are the one that is less popular than the main ship. But there are 6 participants including me, and I'm lovin' it!

Okay, the sad thing that happened is this. My brother-in-law died unexpectedly on Thursday. We're waiting on the autopsy but it was either a heart attack or a blood clot or an annerism (sp?). Doris doesn't recall his exact age but she thinks 50 or 51. He was married to Doris's sister Angie. He'd had problems over the years - alcoholism, depression, anxiety. And Angie is dealing with breast cancer. Their son Lucas, who is in the Marines, got home and kinda broke down, terrified he'll lose both his parents. (Angie is expected to make it though). In any case, Doris and her mom left for California today - she'll be there a whole week. I will sure miss her. But it's good of her to go and be there for her sis and nephew.

I put a little note inside Doris's carry-on bag. I hope she sees it. She's not sentimental at all about stuff like that but I wanted to do it anyway. And before she left, I gave her gifts for our 20th anniversary.  Full disclosure? She didn't get me anything and I'm a little sad about it. But I'm fine.
