Gratitude fandom birthday

 
So many good things to post about...

- Started writing a new fic. Wrote more than 9,000 words in about 3 days. Let's be honest; none of the big ships are in it so I'm not likely to get comments from more than 2 or 3 people. But I am loving the writing of it! (At this point in the world of The 100, the only fics I see getting any sort of major readership have either Clexa or Bellarke in them. I used to write Bellarke but am taking a break from them)

- Other fun fandom stuff. That convention for The 100, the one that I didn't go to for a bunch of reasons? Someone did write an article on it, and there was a very, very nice shoutout to Mackson. Two years after the end of the series, I am thrilled when they get remembered like this!

- Also, I am going to quietly continue to ship X-men's Bobby Drake with BSG's Felix Gaeta. I have an entire verse and storyline in my head. And their actors were in a movie together years ago. They even had scenes together! The downside is that their characters are at sea, look like they haven't bathed in a week, and are wearing dorky hats. (And needless to say, are "just" friends). BUT I DON'T CARE, I GOT SCREENSHOTS OF MY BOBBY AND FELIX TOGETHER!!

- Speaking of Bobby's actor. His twin brother was in a Canadian sci-fi show called Killjoys. Someone recommended it on a Star Trek fan page, and it's pretty good. Sad they clearly had no budget, but it's good. And it's always so nice to see Bobby. (I mean, Shawn or Aaron Ashmore!)

- I did also pay to stream the episode of Smallville where Alessandro dances in his underwear. It was lovely. (I wish I liked Smallville. Every bit I've seen of it makes me want to sleep. Alessandro's in 14 episodes and I think one of the Ashmores has a big role too. But something about Smallville makes me wrinkle my nose).

- So much birthday fun....here we go randomly....Cameos from Sachin...Dualla Cameo and Felix cards!!....gift card from parents....Southwest gift card from boss and care package from coworker with a great candle....fics from Mia, Kallisto, and Guggi....card and Jake Cameo from Doris....Flowers from my massage therapist and a 3rd coworker gift of a luggage organizer and candle and soap...A lovely birthday weekend all around!
