Whew! It's been a very busy 24 hours.
1. Very glad that Ann and her mom came to the annual benefit yesterday evening. It was a late night, I didn't leave until almost 10:30. (Keep in mind that I'm usually in bed by 8:20). Having Ann and her mom there was great. It would've been a bit of a dull evening without them. Sadly no one who I sold a raffle ticket to won, and Ann usually walks away with something but nada this time.
2. Remember how sometimes I write that the pace of my work is a bit slow? Well this week has been very busy. It was made all the more busy when - late yesterday - my boss me to fly to Minneapolis tomorrow to take her place at something. She was very grateful that I could, and I'm always eager to please my boss. So it's all good. I had good luck when booking my flights too. Originally the only flight that Southwest had for the return trip got in late, but we called Southwest, cancelled my boss's seat on the flight, and that was able to get me onto it.
3. Just published my 4th Star Trek Disco fanfic. I'm glad the writing keeps on flowing; I even have a couple plot bunnies that I've started on, plus am writing an addendum to the story I just posted. I wonder though if I'll ever go back to writing epic-ly long fanfics like I used to; everything I've done so far has been short. I'm not sure if I will or not. With X-men and the Misfits, I had a ton of stuff to say...maybe because there was so much content, so many characters, and I'd had a while to let it all marinate. Not so with this fandom - yet. It's still new to me. I love most of the characters and they all have great depth; I think I could do a lot with them. The show is on hiatus for the next 2 months so I will get some marinating time then.
