These will sound very familiar to other 3 Things lists. My life just keeps repeating the same stuff. :)
1. The weekend is here and the weather is gorgeous! I walked home from the el and it was so nice out with a great, cool breeze
2. Game night tomorrow!
3. Still loving The 100 and loving my new fanfic that I just posted Chpt 1 of yesterday.
But....No reviews. Only 1 kudo right now. I had 2 folks look at it before posting and they both basically said "it's great, post it!". One did give me an excellent suggestion for how to improve it. But overall, it's so hard because I love the story and I so much want other people to tell me they like it and to keep going. I am going to try to be philosophical about this...
- Maybe it's a reminder that we simply don't get what we want in life that often. I want to be showered with praise - or even tossed a bone - for my writing, and I guess I just need a reminder that life doesn't always go our way.
- And it's a good reminder to write for the right reasons. I can definitely say to myself that if I'm not enjoying it, I should stop writing because I haven't been able to write for feedback for a long, long time. (I would if I could, but feedback is so rare - at least for me - now).
- And I should add that the pairing that I focus on...most The 100 fans say "oh I love them", but they are very minor characters too, so the pool of people even willing to read this is small.
