Let's knock out some gratitude

- Yesterday - Friday - was really nice. The weather was cool, like 68. I walked to downtown OP (got 18K steps by end of day), hit the new coffeeshop (lots of Scrabble potential for me and Ann), bought an anti-racism workbook at the local bookstore, ate at the vegan cafe where I ran into a friendly acquaintance and a stranger struck up a convo with me over the anti-racism workbook.

- Red, White, and Royal Blue was kinda ridic but I LOVED it! Loved it

- Jeni's ice cream makes a vegan lemon bar flavor. Only Whole Foods carried it but I asked my local food coop to order it, and they said they will!

- Twice I partook in a fic exchange and I was "forced" to write either a pairing (Murphy/Bellamy in T100) or a setting (Wesper but make it a royalty AU) that I never would have chosen to do. And I loved it both times! Fic exchanges are awesome

- That's it? I feel like I should have a few more. Well, one of my S&B fics is currently at 195 kudos. I think it will hit 200. So, if I am lucky enough, it'll be my 3rd fic to hit the 200 mark! (I also have another, cowritten with a friend, that has been in the 190s forever and I think will sooner or later hit 200 but it may be a while)

The weather has been edging more towards Fall lately here too, and I love it!! <3

Everyone I know seems to have opinions about Red, White, & Royal Blue, and I'm glad so many people are enjoying it, but I don't know if I'll watch it myself. I couldn't get through even one chapter of the book. I got as far as one of the mains (can't remember which) falling into a cake. I have this aversion to secondhand embarrassment as comedy, PLUS as a baker I can't help feeling sorry for the cake, and I know that's not fair, but I had to put it down after that.

It seems like a nice, wholesome, chill fandom though!

Fic exchanges ARE fun! Speaking of which, I looked up "Parallels," and WOW it's long! I've bookmarked it for later. (Also did some experimenting for this "project" I hinted about, and I think it's going to come out really great!)

Hmmm. I appreciate that, but . . . well I can't tell you much without spoiling the surprise. Let's just say there's a reason I asked for your favorite one, but what I'm working on requires that I be familiar with that fic specifically. Let me get a few chapters in and then I'll get back to you.

LOL, I have heard that. Honestly, I think getting into The Vampire Diaries has humbled me somewhat. It is VERY cringe for several reasons, but I still love it.

Man, that cooler weather was phenomenal but this week has sucked. I'm looking forward to another cooler weekend though.

Yeah this weather right now is so bad. I hope it cools down soon.

The coop didn't have it in stock last I was there but they emailed to say it's there now!
