Random gratitude

- At last, official confirmation that Doris' expensive medicine is covered!

- Meeting with financial planner last week went well. Retirement plan is on track

- Today is Sunday. Doris left Thursday to fly to Texas with her parents to visit an uncle, and she's coming back Tuesday. I'm sad when she's gone but I am proud of myself that I've been fine. I've kept busy.

- My sis and her husband Paul are in town. They are spending most of their stay at an AirBnB with his (adult) kids, but their first night they slept in my guest room. They texted to say they wouldn't be here till after 9:30. So we agreed - I left the key in the mailbox, they let themselves in....and I slept through all of it!

- Saturday was productive with farmer's market table and then Postcards to Swing States

- Today the fam went to Lyfe Kitchen and Millenium Park. It was good to see Paul's kids; they've matured nicely. (And random note: Lyfe Kitchen has an "oatmeal cocoa" drink which is like hot chocolate but way less sweet and I loved it! I think Doris might like it) 

- Fic writing is still going great. Am getting about 6 comments per chapter. I'd love more but it's ok because I do love writing this fic.

Gah, I need to go the farmers market more! They are always so much fun, and my cousin keeps telling me about one near here that has "the best produce" and I just never manage to make time for it. One day!

Very curious about this oatmeal cocoa. I'm a fan of regular cocoa, but I've been meaning to cut back on sugar. I wonder what's in it and if I could find a similar thing around here.

I googled the oatmilk cocoa and the menu doesn't say what's in it. It was so smooth and creamy! Dang, now I want it again. :)

And farmer's markets are awesome, so I hope you get to check yours out. Ours also has tables from nonprofits and bakesales for nonprofits, and sometimes people playing musical instruments too.

Was the oatmeal cocoa like the same kind of texture as a hot chocolate? Sounds yummy!

Yes, it was just like hot chocolate, texture-wise. And less sweet, which truly was welcome. I want another one! :) (Hmmm....Doris is working this coming Saturday so I can always go back to Lyfe, and it's near mom so I can combine it with a visit)
