Fashion help requested! Do the colors go together?

So, next week I'm going back to work and this morning I spent some time going through my closet. I bought these two pieces separately. Do the colors go together? I'm terrible at this sort of thing, which is why I don't often buy separates.

Honestly, I'd be happy if I could wear a uniform to work and spend my money on something other than clothes for an office. Alas, it just doesn't work that way.
