We saw the Dark Knight last weekend. I did love it. I'm not obsessed with it but I did like it a lot. I might see it again, I'm not sure.

And now, onto a meme from [livejournal.com profile] denisia -

1) Do you stay in an apartment or landed property (as in terrace, semi-detached, or bungalow house)?

Townhouse

2) If apartment, which floor do you stay on?

NA, but for the years I did live in an apartment it was the second floor

3) If landed property, give a brief descriptive of your property.

Second floor has a loft, which overlooks the first floor's foyer and which holds my computer. I really love the loft; I love wide open space. Second floor also has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. First floor is basically one large room that goes in a circle - foyer, family room, small dining area, and kitchen. There's also a tiny bathroom down a small hallway, and the hallway also contains a washer/dryer. There's a one car garage and back porch with rotting wood that I never use.

4) When you look out of your window, what do you see, and do you like the view?

The window here in my loft? As I live in suburbia, I see someone else's house, porch, and trees. The view's alright. Not particularly pretty but not at all ugly.

5) Any night sounds? And do you have any favorites, or particular dislikes?

Once for a few days, I heard an owl! Now I rarely hear anything except sometimes one of the neighbor's dogs.

6) Do you buy newspapers in the morning, or is/are it/they being delivered to your doorstep?

I don't buy them. It'd be a waste of paper since I can listen to NPR in the car or get news online, and I often find the news too depressing anyway.

7) Do you have a 24 hour convenience store close by? How close is it, and what is it called?

There's one that's actually within walking distance but I never go there and can't tell you what it's called. I think last time I went was 6 years ago when I was hosting a party and ran out of booze. (Didn't buy enough, don't drink it myself, and underestimated how much people would chug). I'm not fully sure it's 24 hour though since most businesses around here aren't.

8) Do you like to walk? How far is "far enough" for you?

I like to walk in forest preserves. But I also get fatigued easily so I can't do a ton of walking. I do do cardio 6 days a week, in the mornings when I have more energy.

9) What is your usual mode of transport?

A car, unfortunately for the environment. At least mine's a hybrid.

10) Do you like to take the public transport? And how do you pay for it?

What public transporation? I live in the suburbs where there is basically none.

But when I do go to Chicago, I often take the train. I pay for it with...money?

11) How far do you need to travel to get to the sea? Do you go often?

The sea? Um....there's Lake Michigan in Chicago...if I want to see sea I need to board an airplane. So, no, I don't go often. :) I do love beaches and wish I could go more often.

12) Are your parents natives of the country or immigrants? Care to share a little detail?

My Dad was born and raised in Rome, Italy. He and Mom met on a blind date when she took a semester of college in Rome. Mom was born in Chicago but her grandparents immigrated from Italy circa 1905.

They really did a nice job on Batman. Did you see Batman Begins? I am now wondering if I should.

I also get the damn paper and just chuck it straight into the recyler. :( Like anything ever happens in Downers Grove!!
