Exciting house news!
Aug. 26th, 2012 06:56 amWe got a new mattress and new bed. My BFF suggested that part of my back problems may be due to my ancient bed. So we bought this really neat bed. Each side of it is adjustable; you can move the head and the foot of the bed via the remote, and you can make the bed massage you too. I love the new mattress and pillow.
But this has caused a chain reaction. See, we have 4 bedrooms: 2 upstairs and 2 downstairs. One of the downstairs ones is Doris's office, and the other is the guestroom. The second upstairs bedroom was the baby's room. Doris decided to move the baby's room to the downstairs bedroom. That way we won't have to carry her up and down that narrow staircase. So - the baby's room is now downstairs. We've been shuffling beds all weekend: the guest queen-sized bed is now upstairs, the crib is now downstairs, and we had another guest, twin-sized bed which is now in Doris's office. So Doris has been cleaning out her office to make room for the twin bed. Her office clutter is now everywhere: kitchen, dining room table, sofa.
Okay, the above paragraph was hard to follow but the gist of it is: love my new bed, hate the clutter in the rest of the house. I offered to help Doris by doing the grocery shopping today even though it's her turn. Doris does come through with what she says she will do though (eventually), so I am optimistic that the house will be de-cluttered in the next few days. I hate clutter.
