Mostly just gratitude stuff

 
- My boss paid me a very nice compliment. She said she loved how I am handling a project. And that she'd like me to help coach someone who is struggling a bit

- Yesterday we got a snow storm. Doris set out for work as usual. I didn't like her driving 50 miles in her Honda Civic in a snowstorm. But she's stubborn like that and she never really views snowstorms as threats, so I didn't say anything when she left. Imagine how thrilled I was when - 20 minutes later - I heard the alarm turn off and the key in the door!! She realized after setting out that the streets were terrible and so she came home. Yes! And we got to spend a lot of time together yesterday, and she made soup.

- I'm only one episode into The Legend of Vox Machina but it looks like it'll be good 

- I learned a valuable lesson. This is regarding that fan convention and the refund I never got. I won't rehash all the details but....I learned that Ticket Web actually *did* credit my old credit card last year for the refund. The credit card company never transferred it to my new card, so I never saw it (and never got it). Tuesday I spent 51 minutes on the phone speaking with 3 reps and they said I should see the refund in 3 days. Fingers crossed! And the lesson I learned? That I was so miffed at the convention organizers that I figured they were a bunch of lying turds who never refunded my money and thus screwed me over. But they did actually issue the refund. (I still think they are turds though)
