Gratitude for today, despite the hellscape that is the USA....

 
- The weekend is almost here! Friday I have Postcards to Swing States, Saturday canvassing for Underwood, and Sunday Scrabble with Ann

- The DOJ is brining Breonna's killers to justice. I don't dare hope that the tide is turning, but maybe it is a little

- Uncoupled was pretty good. And to lead into the next item...so Uncoupled is an 8-episode show starting Neil Patrick Harris. It takes place in NYC. Everyone shown has money and spends a lot of it. (Remind me again why much of the country hates coastal elites? Oh. No need). I am as susceptible to suggestion as much as anyone. So...

- Tuesday several members of the broader department I'm in were in town, so we were invited to optional cocktails and dinner. I get to the office and I gotta say that I feel I look pretty good. I blew out my hair and I've gotten good at it, I had foundation on and it does make me look better. I'm chatting with Erika at one point and we realize we still got like 3 hours till cocktails, and neither of us is that busy. So we went shopping. We had a blast. I bought a dress that I feel like a million bucks in. (Ann, I'm wearing it to the dinner the day before the wedding!) I got 2 compliments on it (one of which also included telling me my hair and makeup also were on point). Now I must admit that I spent more on the damn dress than I did on my wedding dress. But I love it, and I'll be sure to get lots of use out of it. I can also wear it to the office to do one of the regular presentations I give. And assuming someday I travel again to do presentations, I can pack it. 

- And fandom. I am nuts. I mentioned that I've totally fallen for BSG's Gaeta/The 100's Sinclair/portrayed by Alessandro Juliani. So I have this fandom friend, Mia. (We met through our love of Miller/Jackson in The 100 and she got me into Spartacus too). I told her I had an idea for a 100 fic with Miller, Jackson, and Sinclair. She was very enthused and...I wrote 8,800 words in 2 days. I posted the first chapter and Mia left me great feedback! She said she was so excited about the fic. I love it too. 

Also in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Alessandro plays a sex demon. So yeah, I'm rewatching that. Along with his eps of The 100 too. (Edit - okay I pulled up his first ep of Sabrina and he's not quite as hot here as I remembered...)



Now. When will Alessandro go on Cameo?
