Let's get un-meh

 
I've been in the most meh mood all day today. So I'm going to do some gratitude to try to get things going in the right direction here.

- My crush level on Battlestar Galactica's Felix Gaeta (played by Alessandro Juliani - who was also Sinclair in The 100) is high. Maybe too high.

- Got takeout yesterday from Healthy Substance. Obsessed with the place and its burritos, gorditas, and tamales

- For whatever reason, Doris bought me clothes last week. She and her employee Janet decided to just go on a shopping spree when patients cancelled (!!). Doris came home with new workout pants and shirt for me. 

- One more shoutout to last week's long weekend in Lake Geneva!

- Game night later today, and tomorrow Doris and I are going to the fun, small waterpark again

- The season of RuPaul's Drag Race that just ended was one of the best yet

- Yesterday and today the temp was cool enough in the AM to take a walk. It made doing the farmer's market table today very nice.

- I will admit I love the Netflix dating show Dating Around. I wish there were more than 12 episodes.

- Also am reading an excellent, mind-expanding book call "Imaginable" by Jane McGonigal

On the 'quandary' side....I was at Postcards for Swing states yesterday and they confirmed that they will be done sending out all postcards in a week or less. Once Roe was overturned, they were inundated with orders, and they only have so many voter names/addresses and thus they only have so many postcards to send out for the midterms. So....they are nearly done for this year. It leaves me with the quandary of not knowing where to volunteer next. At the Dems' table at the farmers' market today, someone asked what we have going on and honestly the answer is not a ton. The challenge of living somewhere that's fairly uniform in belief. I know what it means. My volunteering is going to have to be canvassing. Not my favorite thing to do at all. On the other hand, last time I did it, it was fine. It's do-able. And really my only other choices are phone banking, text banking, getting on a bus to a swing state like Wisconsin, or doing more 'charity' work like the food pantry rather than political work. (Nothing wrong with that, but not my jam). So canvassing it is.
