My face is dry all the time now. A bit of moisturizer in the morning used to do the trick, but now the face always feels dry. Do I have to apply the moisturizer twice a day now??
Bad enough that my legs are itchy at night and I have to slather on lotion all over them before I go to bed. Winters in Chicagoland not fun.

Not having a cream on will let it breathe and produce the right amount of oil to keep your skin at the right moisture level. I'm still not sure if I believe it, but I've been experimenting. Do you use a mild soap/cleanser on your face before you go to bed? Maybe switching to a more emollient cleanser (like Oil of Olay or Cetaphil maybe) could help streamline the routine.

Eesh. I find I have to do the same thing, even after putting on lotion after every bath (which is hard for me because I am lazy and not used to good self-care). But better to smear yourself with lotion than to get angry skin that you scratch and then the scratches bleed and ugh.
(this post has nothing to do with Thanksgiving)
It's okay. Frankly, I find moisturizer more interesting than green bean casserole, but I'm not like the other kids. :D

And seriously, thanks for your advice. My usual schedule is to just put on moisturizer in the morning after my shower. So I haven't been doing a night cream on my face at all.
And let me encourage you to do the self-care thing and smear that lotion on after bathing! Maybe I should also try doing it then instead of or in addition to right before bedtime.
Thanks for commenting!
