Twice I've gone for about 7 days offline, while on a cruise. I had so much fun on the cruise that I didn't feel withdrawal at all; in fact, I liked it.
What I have really been feeling overwhelmed by are work emails. I get so many emails as part of my job. I was once in a class at work where they asked if there is anything we spend as much time on as emails for work. Unless I am on a long vacation like on a cruise, I'm always having to check it. Even now, being on a business trip, it still seems like there's an expectation that we get on email frequently. I feel seriously depressed at the thought of my next 24 years or so chained to this.
