An update on gay couple forcibly separated

I posted not too long ago on an elderly gay couple who were forcibly separated and had their belongings confiscated. It has come to light that there may have been domestic violence going on here. It still looks like the case was handled poorly but this does add more complexity to it all. Here's a link to the article. FYI.

Huh. I've been following this case and I'd been wondering how in the holy Hell the county was able to get away with doing all they did. DV still doesn't explain it, but it does add another facet to the story, as you say.
