I kinda want to see it again now. Mainly for the Xavier/Magneto stuff. And I am oddly attracted to two of Kevin Bacon's bad guys, Azazel and the hot guy with the longish black hair.

(I'm the weirdest lesbian, I know).

The long haired guy (who I thought looked annoyingly like a brunette Fabio) would be Riptide. I wasn't sure until the end credits.

They changed his powers for the movie. In the comics, he was one of the Marauders that killed the Morlocks during the Mutant Massacre storyline. His power was the ability to spin really fast. "He also has the ability to generate calcium growth from his bones that protrude through his skin, often taking the form of shurikens and spikes. When he spins, Riptide can release these growths at will from his skin, the additional velocity that comes from his spinning making them lethal missiles that can even punch through steel."

The movie-makers do a wonderful job of "We need a villian, let's grab this mutant, make a change or two and here we go..."

Yeah, I was not pleased with Emma Frost.

Mystique, less not pleased, but only because that girl really sold the part for me. It wasn't the Mystique I know, but she owned it and I believed it. If that makes sense.

Jaysus, every slash fan girl within thirty miles of that movie caught the Xavier/Magneto vibe. And even fan girls who don't slash caught it. Oh no, you are not the only one who caught that very strong vibe. It jumped off the screen and slapped me in the face, and like a naughty girl, I kept asking for more.

Actually I want to see it again too, and I very rarely pay to see a movie twice. But I want to see Erik hunt Nazis again and I want the chemistry between Charles/Erik to jump off the screen and slap me in the face again.
