Heading out for vacation on Friday

Just wanted to let you know that first thing Friday morning, I am leaving for a cruise to Alaska. I doubt I will have much internet access. I will miss you!

P.S. - When you get an article published, what do you do? Do you print it? Scan it?

If it is online, I print it out. If it is in a newspaper, I photocopy it for the portfolio and also scan it for a digital version. :)

Backing it up that way really helps. When I had all those books stolen I lost my first book...an anthology I did in high school for City University of NY. It is not online and I can't get a new copy (I tried) so having that scan and that photocopy means at least have my own work saved.

Oh wow--have an amazing time!! Alaska is gorgeous. You're likely to see some whales and/or dolphins out there. Take pictures!

My stepsister used to live in Kodiak. You won't believe how blue the ocean is. It's unreal.
