Has anyone read "We Need to Talk About Kevin" by Lionel Shriver?

There are no spoilers in this post - and please don't spoil it for me because I'm only about 60% of the way through. But I just read the line "Celia amazed me" and I think it broke my heart because I can guess what is going to come.

Rollin and I watched the movie, I would have read the book first had I known it was a book :) Let me know if it's good. The movie was really good.

I loved the book - well, as much as one can love an intense, disturbing and very sad book. I don't know if you will love it or not. Sometimes I think you're not as affected as I am when it comes to picking up and reading something that falls into the 'intense and disturbing' category. (I guess in other words, I seem more sensitive to that sort of stuff. No surprise given that I used to ask you if a given movie was "Marianne safe").

If you do read it, I'd totally love to know what you thought of it. I finished it yesterday. It did kinda break my heart.
