Since there's no new canon, a very rapidly dwindling number of new fans and a lot of stuff has already been discussed/thrashed to death, I think it's only to be expected that discussion has tailed off.
Although, I do think the attitude of some, willfully denying the plot developments of the BDM didn't help. Maybe I'll start a discussion on the plot points that we'd like wrapped up in Series II/Movie the Sequel, like for me the big one - what is going on with Blue Sun?.... (damn, I'll have to watch the BDM again. Shame.)
