Doris and I are having a great 3-day, 2-night trip to Madison, WI. Just the highlights:

- It's my first time here; wish I had gone before. It's just about a 2 and a half hour drive from us
- Like Northampton, MA it's a fun and funky college town. Tons of great food
- Our AirBnB is right in the center of town. Our living room windows overlook a street with coffee shops, etc. I really love that. I have always dreamed of having a place that looks right out onto the center of town
- Friday we walked around the lovely downtown and visited a museum and saw an improv show
- Today we went on a cave tour which was very cool. Doris got her hair cut at a place in the downtown, and we saw Ocean 8 which I had wanted to see. We also visited a vegetarian restaurant twice; it was so good. 
- The B-652's happened to have a show at a venue that's literally steps from our apartment. I debated whether or not to go (Doris said she was good either way). It would be nice to see them again but I have seen them at least 6 times before....plus the show didn't start till 8 and we'd have to sit through an opening act which I honestly hate doing. So we decided to go to the movie instead. 

We're really having a fun time.

When I was dating Dan, we went to Madison a few times and I always liked it there. Just kind of a fun place to hang out and visit, lots of interesting things to do but not insanely crowded or impossible to find parking. Glad you had such a good time!

You hit it exactly about Madison! I love Oak Park but I could totally see myself living in Madison.
