 Ooops. It's been way too long since I've posted.

1. I'm still in fandom heaven (mostly), which is why I haven't posted much. I'm all caught up with the show, enjoying my canon couple, enjoying the show in general. Now that I'm caught up I've been delving more into Reddit, finding blooper reels on YouTube, etc etc. And my writing is going well - I have over 12,000 words on my fic. Only one review, but as long as I enjoy the writing, I'll keep doing it.

2. We have a 3 day weekend! Actually 3.5, because I got the afternoon off and Doris came home from work early yesterday. No big plans though. Both our mothers' birthdays are around this time, so we're taking my mom out today and Doris's tomorrow.

3. Great weather, and my weight has been lower than I'd expect.

1. Oh, fandom. <3 I love that feeling so much. Not really fangirling anything in particular at the moment though, which is weird. I guess, old timey Gothic novels in general? I'm in this weird headspace where I seem to be only able to read 19th or 18th century horror (Carmilla, The King in Yellow, various Poe short stories) and children's books. I also read recently that reading in physical print, versus reading on a screen, can literally alter the way your brain processes information. Not permanently, but it takes time to switch back, which is why us fannish types can go through phases of ONLY reading fanfic, or ONLY reading print media. Do you ever get that? Because I definitely do.

(Also partly why I haven't caught up on your fics yet--you're one of like six different people who have new material I haven't read yet, and I'm stuck on my own writing too.)

2. Yay 3 day weekends! I had to work Saturday, but I got Monday *and* Tuesday off, which I didn't expect, so that's cool. I might actually be able to get some errands done, which I can't always on the weekend because so many places (like the bank and the post office) are closed.

3. Good weather down here so far, but Dorian's looming. I'm nervous for my family in Florida, and the people in Puerto Rico who like JUST got their power back what, this year? That's bleak.

I totally get it - in fact, I'm the same way. When I'm in to one thing (fandom-wise), I often don't want anything else. I bet there's a lot of awesomeness in 18th and 19th century horror.

And wow....I bet that is true (about reading on paper versus a screen changing the way we process info). I could totally see that.

And no worries on my fanfic. Unless you're on Season 4 of The 100, it ain't gonna make any sense. :)

Glad you at least get 2 days in a row off! Woo!

Don't get me started on storms and hurricanes and climate change. Sometimes all I can say is heaven help us!!
