Gratitude

Today's Monday, and it's been a good weekend, including really warm weather today and yesterday.

Saturday was a rare Saturday off for Doris. She canvassed with me (as her V Day gift to me), and then we had dinner at the incredible Althea. Canvassing went well.

Sunday we met Mom for lunch at a vegan Jewish deli in Chicago. (Yep. A vegan Jewish deli. And it was awesome! The cherry cheesecake might be the best vegan dessert I've ever had. And its knishes were to die for). The place isn't close to me, which might be a good thing so that I don't spend every other day there. Afterwards we walked to the feminist bookstore Women and Children First.

Today I went into the office. Nothing too remarkable but there is a restaurant just over a mile away that I've wanted to try. I took Lyft there, but the weather was so good and I felt up for it, so I walked back to the office. It took about a half hour. (My meal at this place, The Art of Dosa, was ok but not as good as where I ate Saturday and Sunday!) In any case, it's good that I'm doing so much walking given the amounts I've been eating. 

Fanfic writing is going well (27K words!). Reviews are, as always, "never enough"  but I usually get 1 or 2 per chapter which is nice. And my betas are lifesavers.
