Shouldn't have gotten my hopes up so much. That promo pic of my OTP....they must've cut the scene from the episode. Miller goes on a (potentially long) mission and we don't even get to see him say goodbye to Jackson. I was pretty disappointed last night.

I guess I need to remind myself that I have no control what this show does. Each episode is just crammed with so much that, as always, the minor characters get the short end of the stick. I posted on my social media how disappointed I was about this, and it was good to see that other people agreed. One of the actors even liked my tweet about it! 

And least we got to see the picture and can use it to guess that they did say goodbye, even if the scene ended up on the cutting room floor.

I really need to learn to expect the worst from this show, so I can be pleasantly surprised on occasion. Or I can do what some fans are doing and pretend that the show ended with Season 6, and that Season 7 is just a weird dream that Miller or Jackson is having. :) I like that one.

Edit - I should also add that one character who left on the mission along with Miller didn't even say goodbye to her daughter. So, yeah, the episode is being called out for some crappy writing.

Sorry your fandom's letting you down. :( Seems to be a lot of that going around lately. Still, sounds like the community itself is being really supportive and all, so that's good. Head canons make the world go round!

I guess that's partly what fandom does...disappoint. But yes, a lot of fans are agreeing with me on this so that helps a ton. Thank you also for empathizing!

12 left. But the actors playing my OTP typically only appear in 8 per season (ah the joy of them being minor characters!) and each has already been in 3. One of them told me that if they're asked, they'll appear in more than 8 per season, but it usually doesn't happen because then - per their contracts - the company has to pay them more.

Ugh. . . That's such a crap reason. Like it makes sense, but I'm always annoyed when I remember how much contract negotiations affect storytelling. Shouldn't be that way.
