The weather

stormkeeper_lovedorisToday was such a great day, weather-wise. High 60's and very little humidity. I really want to move somewhere where the weather's like this all the time. I really do. But here are the reasons it can never happen.
1. We have 4 old parents here in Chicago
2. Most places with weather like this are really expensive (like Santa Cruz, CA)
3. Doris isn't licensed to practice dentistry outside of IL
4. Climate change means weather's going to be way more unpredictable. Santa Cruz might feel very different in 20 years than it does now.
I still want to do it. Even if we have to live in a house/condo/apartment that's half the size of this one.
Doris will never do it though, not as long as her parents are alive (and unwilling or unable to move as well).
