3 Things and 1 sad thing

So, we just learned yesterday that 11 days ago, Doris saw a patient who had COVID. She's had to close her office for now, and she's leaving soon for a COVID test. She feels ok right now though she has been a bit fatigued and nauseated over the past few days.

Going to try to not worry until she gets that test result back. (EDITED - her test is negative!! Whew!!)

So here are some good things.

1. Yesterday I went to a virtual con. I'd been nervous; the con is normally in France and much of their communications were in French. So I just bought 2 things - a 'live' group session with Sachin (one of my OTP actors) and a video from Sachin. They said the video can take a few weeks to arrive. The group session was awesome!!! He was so friendly and I think maybe he recognized me? We each got to ask 1 question, and mine was about the deleted scene between my OTP earlier in the season. Loved his answer. I wish I'd bought more than these 2 items from the con. 

2. And fans of my OTP are doing a Secret Santa fic exchange. Just 6 people total signed up but that's actually good. When the season started, I feel like I knew only 1 other die-hard fan of theirs.

3. Other good things. Game night on Saturday was fun. We went to an open house of a neighbor's house and I get a strange amount of pleasure in seeing other people's houses. (We both wore masks and no one was there except the realtor. This was, of course, before we got the news of Doris's potential exposure). The anxiety has stayed away, as has nausea and barfing. Woo!

Oh no! I hope Doris is OK. How long does she have to close her office? Hopefully all is OK.

We had fun on Saturday too! I think the twice a month is the way to go, though every saturday I think about the gang at a little before 5. :) I know how much you love going to open houses! lol.

I'm so glad she's ok!!

Sachin has such a great personality, he's just so enthusiastic and nice. I really hope there are more conventions in his future so we can interact again (even if they're virtual ones).

I like every other Saturday. It works for me. I mentioned it again to my friend Karen but again she was noncommital. Hmmmm.

And yeah it is insane how much I love seeing the insides of houses. I seriously think about open houses that I've been to days after the open house. Crazy.

So glad the test came back negative! I'm sure you're both *hugely* relieved!

1) Glad the virtual con was fun! I'm trying to help my workplace organize one for the anime/manga fest we normally do every year. There's another Zoom meeting about it on Wednesday. Even just buying two things is great though! I know it's different when you can't physically peruse the dealers' room.

2) Yay for Secret Santa fic exchange! I haven't done one of those in ages. My fandoms are too scattered for it, honestly.

I hope so too! It's been pushed back a couple more months, so at least we have more time to plan now.
