stormkeeper_lovedorisJust gotta post again to say how much I love the Spartacus fandom (or more specifically, those who ship Agron/Nasir, who are by far the most popular pairing on the show). The show ended in 2013 but fans are loyal. My fic posted Saturday has 10 comments, plus I got 2 on Tumblr as well! Damn! 66 kudos too. It sure makes opening my email an awesome experience! (EDIT a few hours later... That's now 11 comments on Ao3 and 3 on Tumblr including 1 person who messaged me on Tumblr to say how much they like it and that they cannot wait for more. My writing didn't suddenly get better, so all I can say is, if you want feedback, write Agron/Nasir from Spartacus!!)
All of these are much higher numbers than I get in The 100. As my friend F pointed out, our OTP in the 100 isn't very popular and fics featuring them are lucky to get more than 2 comments...which are always from the same 2 people! When I added in other ships, my fics in the 100 got more comments then. I guess it's fun to write about a popular pairing with really good, dedicated fans.
It's taking all my willpower to wait the full 7 days before posting chapter 2. I do like to wait a week between posting chapters for multi-chaptered fics.
