Random gratitude

I said I'd lean into gratitude, since the in-law situation still kinda sucks. So here goes....

- Doris did come home after work yesterday, early enough that we got to talk and watch the last episode of The Boring Elf Show. And she got more than 8 hours of sleep last night! She's off this weekend, and today we'll go see her parents. 

- At work we have a new department head, so a new boss for my boss' boss. So far? He's awesome. He appreciates the work we do

- New issue of Poetry magazine

- Caught up with Pam yesterday

- Had a Zoom with some vendor/partners on Friday. One of them paid me a nice compliment. Also they are doing some debt forgiveness for some students which is nice. Partly it's because they get a tax write-off but still. 

- One week till the wedding! (Which I know Ann is very stressed over but I'm sure it'll all be fine)

- I am way too excited over the fact that my food coop had a huge sale for owners this weekend, and I got 20% off. And Doris re-organized the freezer, which desperately needed it after all the frozen stuff I stocked up on

- No big fandom stuff, alas. I did book my flight to Vancouver for November to see Sachin - woo! I have a message in to him to ask if there are any hotels or areas that he would or would not recommend. Figure I'll give him a week to reply and then just book something
