X-men 10 Year Anniversary

Forgive me since this is a little similar to a post I did a few months ago…
I first became a fan of X-men 10 years ago and I’ve really been wanting to do something to mark this milestone. I mean, this is a major anniversary and I still love X-men as much as I did 10 years ago when I dragged my friend
nytshd3 to see the movie with me again for the 4th time. (The movie is what got me into it, but now I like XTAS the best of all forms of X-men.)
Here’s the problem – I can’t figure out how to celebrate it. None of my friends in real life are into X-men. Well,
nytshd3 is kinda but there are limits to even her patience and I can’t see a point in having, say, an X-men themed party or viewing of XTAS or the movies if I’m the only one who’s into it. I need to be able to celebrate in cyberspace. And I need ideas.
So, does anyone have any ideas? The only one I have off the top of my head is: ask people for X-men fanfic recommendations, take a day off work so I can read most of the recs, and post a link to my own fanfics. I can also try to write a short one but anyone who knows me know that fics I write tend to be lengthy (and my life is so busy now that I can’t commit to writing a longer fic now). Any other ideas on how to celebrate online?

Date: 2010-09-21 11:09 pm (UTC)Watch your favorite episodes, the movies, re-read some comics you like, write up a big post about how much you love it and why it's so special for you. Definitely take a day (or two) off.
