X-men First Slash Sequel

So it looks like there’s definitely going to be a sequel to X-men: First Class. (Thanks, calliopes_pen for posting links to articles! She posted several; here’s one.) Sounds like the studio had in mind a set dollar amount it needed to make in order to get a sequel and, surprisingly to me, it only exceeded it by about 5 million.

In my dreams, the working title for the sequel is “Azazel and Riptide: A Love Story” – but in reality, I’d be happy if they had more than eight lines between the two of them this time.

I'm kind of afraid for the new movie. Making sequels rarely end well especially for movies based on comic books and I really don't now what to think about it. Sorry for being a buzz-kill :(

I'm really afraid that Az and Rip won't be in it - they didn't have much to do in the previous movie and they could be written off... I don't want it to happen because I'll lose a lot of good feelings I've had about this movie, but it is a possibility *le sigh*

It is true; we don't know what the sequel will bring. A/R might not be in it at all, may be in it but with small parts like in FC, or may be in it with slightly bigger parts. Whatever the case, they won't be major players in the film; I doubt that. :( They may decide to officially ship Az with Mystique in the movie, which in a way would suck.

I guess we have to be ready for anything then.

I think I worry much more than everybody else. As I'm not a fan of X-Men movie!verse in general and FC was the only one I liked in general, and I'm very picky about it, so I really wonder how many parts of the movie I'd actually like if the new movie would be a sequel for FC but prequel to the other X-Men movie. I really disliked most of the things happening in the three first movies and seeing FC!verse going this way... *le sigh*
