I just wanted to thank the people who still read and comment on my blog. I think there are about 6 folks left who read it, and I'm not being at all facetious - I really appreciate each one of you for doing so.
For whatever reason, lately LJ's demise in popularity has really been bothering me even though LJ has been dwindling for quite some time. But even has recently as 2011 when I was really into X-men First Class, the X-men comms on LJ were buzzing; it was still a very active place.
I miss LJ being active. For my fandom now, there's good activity on FB, Tumblr, and Reddit and I've learned to appreciate those mediums for what they are and be glad they exist. But LJ was/is special. None of the above places let you combine fangirling with personal blogging and you can't get as in-depth anywhere else either. LJ has its flaws but I've also had so many good interactions and discussions here over the years.
Definitely I plan to stick with LJ as long as one or two others who I like are posting and one or two others are reading my LJ. I do seriously mourn its loss of popularity, and that's why I want to thank anyone who is reading this or even glancing at it.

Date: 2013-08-01 04:28 pm (UTC)I really like the anonymity that LJ offers. I haven't gotten on Reddit much but I didn't care for its setup at all. I'm on FB and Tumblr but both are a little soul-sucking and odd. At least with FB one can chat in privately but I really haven't figured out Tumblr that far. I like how LJ doesn't have a 'reblog' button like FB and Tumblr do. I mean, sure, you can still steal stuff but it isn't as easy. It's nice that things get circulated but you don't have as much control on FB and Tumblr.
I'm going to be here for a while so....
BTW, I made more icons.

Date: 2013-08-01 07:25 pm (UTC)Tumblr still is weird to me too. It's a nice place to house cool images but it allows for almost zero dialog.
I'm glad you'll be around LJ for a while! It wouldn't be as fun without you.
