3 things plus wtf

stormkeeper_lovedoris1. This one's from a few days ago but I'll use it. Friday I worked from home, and on the last Friday of the month Doris gets out of work early. It was so great to spend the evening and part of the afternoon with her! Plus I got a massage that day too.
2. Walking home from the el today, the weather was so good. Blue sky, not too cold, leaves on trees turning pretty colors. I even snapped a picture and posted it to FB.
3. I need to remember to be grateful for the fact that I still have been sleeping like a baby.
And now on the WTF side...
For the past week or so, the intensity I feel for my OTP and my fandom has started to wane. I actually hate that feeling! It's like I miss it when it starts to go. I haven't written any fanfic for a while, and I don't even have much desire to read others' fanfic. (I did post something yesterday but it's something I finished writing 2 weeks ago. I should post it here just for the heck of it).
I want to get back to that crazy-in-love feeling and the desire to just get on the computer and write a ton of fanfic!
Well, I guess I need to remind myself...
- Since July, I've written 6 fanfics (some of which were long!) and I've been 'into' this fandom since a few months before that. Maybe my brain just needs a break for a while. Maybe the passion will return and I'll write more once I've had a little hiatus.
- Maybe this isn't so bad. I'll have more time to read actual books. We don't get new episodes of the show for 9 more months so perhaps it's good to mentally step away.
- Maybe it's better to be a bit checked out than to be angsting over not getting more fic reviews?
- This isn't like me though. Usually once I'm in a fandom, I'm in it for a while. My last fandom was like this too (Star Trek Discovery); I didn't stay in it nearly as long as I thought I would. Perhaps as I get older, I don't devote as much time and energy to fandoms as I used to? Or I'm getting more apt to check out faster?
